After some mixed results in the league since the turn of the year, Manchester United turn their attentions to the FA cup this weekend as they travel to Huddersfield Town, as they look to bounce back from defeat to Newcastle.

The sides have shared the spoils in the league this season, with Huddersfield winning 2-1 at the John Smiths Stadium when a slow start cost the visitors. United fell behind to goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre in the first half, before Rashford struck late on to create a nervy finish for the hosts. United then won the return fixture 2-0 just over a week ago with a more efficient performance. In both fixtures United dominated the ball, recording over 70% possession and dictating the tempo. However, the issues this season seem have revolved around converting chances and defensive errors.

There have been frailties at the back, with Bailly spending extended periods on the sidelines and the remaining players not managing to nail positions down, it has led to an unsettled backline. Luke Shaw has impressed fans in recent weeks but Mourinho opted to again drop the defender last week. It will be interesting to see who he selects on Saturday.

Huddersfield come into the fixture on the back of a very impressive win, and at a vital time, lifting them out of the bottom three. Terriers striker Steve Mounie looks to have regained some of the form that had the league taking note at the start of the season.

The question is, will Mourinho rest some players with one eye on the Champions League? Or will there be an element of rotation due to the performances of certain players last Sunday in the loss to Newcastle.

Ones to watch:

£12m January signing Alex Pritchard and captain Jonathon Hogg put in starring displays in the 4-1 win over Bournemouth, with the former scoring and winning a penalty. Both will come into the game in good form alongside goal hero and powerful forward Steve Mounie.

United's players will be looking to bounce back, if selected; expect Pogba, Martial and Sanchez to put in standout displays as they look to atone for errors made on Sunday.

Aaron Mooy is a doubt due to a nasty looking gash to the knee sustained in Saturdays win. He is often a key member of the Terriers midfield, creating opportunities with pinpoint passing, even if fit he could be rested by David Wagner. If he is missing, it certainly makes United's job easier. We know Lukaku has a brilliant record against bottom half clubs, so we can see him grabbing a goal in a hard-fought Manchester United win.

We couldn't leave out VAR in our ones to watch.  This will be the first game that the Red Devils have ever had VAR in place and so far we have seen mixed receptions to the new technology.  Whether it will provide a helping hand to either team this Saturday will be a topic of debate.
