The openings are part of the final phase of the airport’s £1.3 billion transformation project, which will be completed in 2025.
Among the new offerings, luxury brands like Chanel will make their debut at the airport, with Chanel opening its first standalone make-up and skincare boutique in a UK airport.
Popular retailers such as Pandora, LEGO, WH Smith, and Boots will also be present, giving passengers a mix of high-end and everyday shopping options.
Food and drink options will be equally diverse, with the terminal set to feature a new market hall-style dining area called The Great Northern Market. This 472-seat food hall will offer a variety of international street food kitchens, including a dessert station from local favourite Gooey.
Other familiar names like JD Wetherspoon, Greggs, and Joe & The Juice will also be opening new outlets. A Fever-Tree bar and an extension to the Amber Alehouse by Salford-based brewery Seven Bro7hers will round out the selection.
Passengers will also be able to shop at a new, expansive World Duty Free store, offering a range of premium brands such as Christian Dior, Gucci, and YSL.
The first phase of Terminal 2, which opened in 2021, already includes popular local brands like Archies, San Carlo, Pot Kettle Black, and brewpubs by Joseph Holt and Se7en Brothers, alongside airport staples like Pret A Manger, M&S Food, and Starbucks.
The second phase of the project will be finished by the summer of 2025.
Chris Woodroofe – Managing Director of Manchester Airport said:
“We are really proud to connect the North to the world – and now through our brand new Terminal 2 we’re able to do that in a setting that rivals any airport in any major capital city.
“The new shops, bars and restaurants we’re adding in the second phase of the development of Terminal 2 will really elevate the experience and help people feel like they’re starting their holidays at the airport.
“Whatever your budget and preferences, you’ll be able to find something to your tastes in Terminal 2.
“Not only that, you’ll also be able to enjoy modern, world-class facilities and one of Europe’s most extensive route networks – so wherever you’re travelling, you’ll be able to start your trip in style.”
