The awards, which were held at The National Conference Centre, Solihull, West Midlands, celebrate the achievements and contributions of small businesses and the self-employed across the UK. It is the largest event of its kind in the small business calendar.
While there were more than 3,500 regional entries, only 11 companies in each category were chosen to attend the national awards, with Creative Nature being considered alongside ten others to win the Exporter of the Year title.
“We are absolutely delighted to have been named Exporter of the Year by the FSB,” Julianne said.
“To win the regional awards was a great achievement for us, given the thousands of companies that entered, this really means so much to me and to the business and really rewards the effort the whole team puts in.
“We now export to 18 countries and our latest launches have been into Singapore, Israel, Iceland and the UAE.”
Creative Nature’s award-winning products are free from the top 14 allergens and use superfood ingredients to improve their nutrient value and make them lower in sugar than alternatives on the market. The team put a strong focus on sustainable packaging that uses biodegradable loose fill to house products in transport.
Before heading to the FSB nationals, which this year were hosted by TV presenter, Claire Balding, each entrant had to win one of the regional awards. All of the entries were judged by a panel of leading business experts with a wealth of experience in their industry.
The award continues an impressive run of nominations and wins for both the company and its CEO, Julianne Ponan MBE, including Entrepreneur of the Year at the Women of the Future Awards, Food and Drink Business of the Year at the West London Business Awards and Businesswomen of the Year at the MSDUK Awards. Creative Nature’s products are also multiple award winners, including a number of Great Taste Gold stars and Free From Food awards.
Julianne was herself awarded the MBE in the New Year’s Honours List 2023 for her services to small business, export and to the allergy community. Julianne does herself live with serious allergies and anaphylaxis To find out more visit: https://www.creativenaturesuperfoods.co.uk/
