Monsters takeover Manchester skyline

Halloween is back once again spreading its horrors around the city of Manchester. And this year a series of Monsters have taken over some of the City’s skyscrapers invading the rooftops of some of Manchester’s most iconic buildings.

The public art demonstration titled, Monster Attack, began in 2017 when green tentacles were caught spreading across the roof of House of Fraser in Deansgate. But now the monster invasion has spread out across the city taking over more of Manchesters buildings.

These are the buildings which you can spot the monsters at:

The Printworks, Withy Grove
Selfridges, Exchange Square
The Royal Exchange, St Ann’s Square
House of Fraser, Deansgate
Native at Ducie Street Warehouse, Ducie Street
Piccadilly Place
INNSIDE by Melia, First Street
The Pavilion, Spinningfields

Created by artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, the monsters were commissioned by Manchester’s Business Improvement District to become the main attracting of the Halloween in the City celebrations.

If you’re out and about in the City this week then make sure to snap some monster pics and share them on social media using the hashtag #MCRMonsters
