New places to eat in Manchester this November

New restaurants, cafes, and bars are popping up across the city, keeping the food culture vibrant. Here’s what’s opening in November:

Cantaloupe, Stockport

Opening soon in Stockport, Cantaloupe will offer a wine-centered experience with Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The founders bring experience from renowned spots like Where The Light Gets In and Mana, and the restaurant is set to become a local favorite.

Gail’s Bakery, Sale

Gail’s, a popular bakery chain from London, will open in Sale on November 14, serving pastries, breads, and an array of pantry items. This location includes an eat-in area and will be the chain’s second spot in Trafford. Another location is expected in Prestwich soon.

Giovanni’s, Manchester

Manchester’s oldest independent restaurant, formerly known as Don Giovanni’s, reopens on Oxford Street after a renovation. With a refreshed menu, Giovanni’s will offer breakfast through dinner, marking its 40th anniversary with a new look and culinary experience.

Porta, West Didsbury

Taking over the former Greens location in West Didsbury, Porta will serve vibrant Spanish tapas in a casual setting. Known for its authentic flavors, the new Porta aims to bring a bit of Spain to Manchester.

The Egyptian Rooms, Oldham

Opened on November 1, Oldham’s new food hall, The Egyptian Rooms, will feature six different vendors, including Caribbean, pizza, gyros, and sweet treats, all set within the historic Old Town Hall.

Kontrast, Manchester

Launched in October, Kontrast is a wellness cafe offering saunas, ice baths, and a menu of healthy snacks and drinks. Inspired by similar concepts from around the world, it aims to promote wellness and community through contrast therapy and yoga.
