Your Total Guide To eating & drinking
The Italian eatery, located in the station’s food terrace, topped the list thanks to its convenient location and its menu honouring authentic Italian traditions.
Founded by the late chef Antonio Carluccio, the restaurant features Italian classics such as Chicken Saltimbocca, Pappardelle Braised Beef Ragu, and Risotto ai Funghi, alongside a variety of small plates, pasta, and grilled dishes.
Second place on TheFork’s list went to Gaucho, a steakhouse on St Mary’s Street in Deansgate. Renowned for its Argentinian steaks and elegant setting within a converted Methodist church, Gaucho also offers seafood, vegetarian options, and a popular Sunday roast.
Third place was claimed by Shoryu, a Japanese ramen restaurant in Piccadilly Gardens, known for its 12-hour pork bone broth ramen, vegan options, and street food-inspired menu.
LEVEL 3 at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel and Sicilian NQ, a neighbourhood bistro in the Northern Quarter, rounded out the top five. Sicilian NQ gained recognition for its Sicilian street food, including arancini and pistachio pesto tagliatelle.
Other top spots included The Real Greek, with two locations making the list, and high-profile venues like 20 Stories and Waku Waku.
