12 Of Our Favourite Drinks Across Manchester
There are so many incredible drinks available in Manchester, from the buzzing craft beer scene to superb cocktails, so we thought we would share what we are currently drinking with 12 of our favourite drinks across Manchester.
1. Throwaway IPA - Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse
Not only does this IPA taste incredible, it also has an amazing story behind it. Seven Bro7hers teamed up with Kellogg’s to create this IPA using up-cycled cornflakes, not only does this help cut waste for the cereal giants but 10p from every pint also goes to FareShare charity. Seven Bro7hers have family at the heart of everything they do and are making waves in the craft beer industry. Fantastic beer and a brilliant local brand with the brewery based in Salford, what’s not to love about these guys.

2. After Eight Shot - Bring & Mix
This is one you’re going to have to try tease out of the expert mixologist Ollie at Bring & Mix. With the unique concept being a venue without a menu and each individual drink made to your taste the mixologists are always happy to take guidance. Our little secret is asking for Ollie about his special After Eight Shot, a chocolatey, minty and boozey hit that is the perfect way to round off the night.

3. Earl Grey IPA - 57 Thomas Street
This release from Marble Brewery had us intrigued from the first time we saw it, unsure what to expect, it turned out to be a belter of a beer. With strong hoppy notes and the earl grey additions, which upon reading, is added during the fermentation process. For someone who loves a beer full of flavour, this has exactly that, it also comes in at 6.8%.

One of the classics of the cocktail world. A Cosmo done well is a dream of a drink, sharp, sweet and with a kick is the way we like ours and that’s what you get at Brasserie ABode, just a short walk from Piccadilly Station you can indulge almost as soon as you get off the train or tram. Head there during happy hour and you’ll get two for £10 as well!

This late-night Jazz-Hop cocktail bar is hidden away but you will definitely want to hunt it out. The Fog Lights cocktail drew us in and had us loving every single sip, it’s a must have in our eyes. Veritas White Rum, Hampden 60%, Ginger & Strawberry Puree, Lime Juice and topped off with some lovely Ginger Beer. We know, you want one right now.

6. Manchester Tart Punch - 20 Stories
This creation by the highest bar in Manchester is a beauty. Based on the traditional Manchester Tart recipe, meaning the drink is full of all the flavours you would expect. The base spirit is a Havana Especial rum and contains fresh raspberries, maraschino cherry liqueur, fresh lemon and apple juice as well as a dash of coconut syrup.

Cloudwater just keep on producing and have been recognised as one of the best in the world! With their Manchester based brewery, the taproom is the perfect place to try some of their selection and our personal choice right now is the West Coast Pale. It’s a classic and boy do they do it well at Henry C. Chorlton is full of hidden gems and this place is certainly one of them, they make the classics and a few specials that will find yourselves drinking your way through the menu. The Negroni however is our favourite, when it is done well can it really be topped?

Atlas Bar is THE place to go for a gin. Why is that you ask? They have over 400 to choose from! We have plenty of new favourites from Bathtub Gin to Faith & Sons. Our current tipple of choice is Manchester Three Rivers though, we just can’t get enough of the stuff in a classic gin and tonic.

11. Spritz - The Oast House
The Oast House has a variety of different spritz available on their menu and they are the perfect Summer drinks to enjoy in their outside area. We found it tough to pick just one of our favourites as it’s a toss-up between the Pink Gin Spritz which includes Slingsby gin as well as Lanique Spirit of Rose and the English Garden Spritz, a combination of Hendrick’s and St-Germain. If you had to push us it would be the English Garden.
