Success for two members of Digital Marketing team

TWO young members of the team at UK brand Total Guide to (TGt) have gained their Level 3 and 4 qualifications in digital marketing.

Phoebe Hooper (20) and Bethany Fry (21) joined the TGt team as young apprentices and have over the last three years have worked hard to gain their latest qualifications as the business has grown around them.

Liz Hutchings founder of TGt said: “I’m thrilled to congratulate both Phoebe and Bethany for their hard work and for their commitment to their studies and the business. They are an essential part of our team and a testament to the benefit of apprenticeships. The team and I are absolutely delighted that they will be staying on in the business as full-time employees. I've no doubt they will use the skills learned to continue to take the business from strength to strength and to further their own knowledge.”

Bethany, who lives in Swindon, began working with TGt in September 2017 and was recently told she’d passed her Level 4 training. She was then offered a permanent position as a digital content and social media executive.

“The experience that I have gained over the past three years has been invaluable and I am hugely grateful to TGt director Liz Hutchings and Green Labyrinth for the opportunity and their help every step of the way,” she said.

Phoebe, also from Swindon, joined as an apprentice a year after Bethany after studying A Levels. When she gained her Level 3 qualification she was awarded a distinction for her work and dedication. She is now continuing to work at Total Guide to with additional responsibilities.

She said: “I worked incredibly hard learning new skills, meeting new people, experiencing business conferences and exhibitions, as well as balancing my apprenticeship work. I had constant help and support throughout and I’m very grateful.”

Both girls were placed at TGt by South West apprenticeship provider Green Labyrinth. Entrepreneur Liz Hutchings is an advocate of apprenticeships as a clear route into a fulfilling career.

Liz said: “I remember I was eager to learn on the job and sought employment straight after completing A Levels rather than going to university - back then this was almost something to be embarrassed of, but had I taken the traditional route I may well not have created the business.

“I am a firm believer that learning on the job creates more well-rounded skills and attributes and apprenticeship schemes absolutely deliver this and benefit businesses and the apprentices themselves. Bethany and Phoebe's careers are off to a fantastic start.”

The girls’ success comes hot on the heels of founder Liz gaining her own qualification as a Qualified Franchise Professional.

“Success in business means always being willing to learn and develop yourself. It’s not just younger team members who aspire to personal development, any team member should have that opportunity,” she said.

TGt is a franchise business with its parent site in Swindon. It also has platforms in Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Reading, Manchester and Poole with more franchisees being considered for other cities and large towns nationwide. For more information visit www.totalswindon.com
