Manchester Airport jobs fair offers over 1000 new vacancies

Looking for a new career? Manchester Airport is hosting a huge jobs fair at the Wythenshawe Forum on Thursday, 7th November, with over 1,000 roles up for grabs.

Whether you’re interested in security, hospitality, or retail, this event promises a variety of opportunities.

The fair, running from 10am to 1pm, will feature more than a dozen employers based at the airport, ready to talk to job seekers about what it’s like to work in aviation. 

Roles are available across the board, with around 250 positions directly with Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which manages Manchester, East Midlands, and London Stansted Airports.

But MAG isn’t the only big name hiring. Airlines like Jet2.com, service providers like Dnata, and retailers such as JD Sports and Pret a Manger will all be scouting for talent.

Fancy working in a hotel? Doubletree Hilton and Holiday Inn are also seeking staff. Even construction firms involved in the airport’s £1.3bn transformation project, like MACE and NG Bailey, are looking for recruits.

For those needing a bit of extra support, Manchester Airport’s Academy, run with Trafford College, will be there to offer free training programmes, especially for people on Jobseekers’ Allowance. 

And if you’re in need of a sharp suit for your upcoming interviews, charity Smartworks will be on hand, offering help through their ‘Fashion as a Force for Good’ campaign.
